What services do you offer at Scope?

I provide services for all ages, including:

  • Therapy to manage:
    • Anxiety, depression, and other mood disorders
    • Challenges associated with ADHD, Autism, and other neurodevelopmental conditions
    • Daily living skills support for NDIS participants
Who would benefit from seeing you?

I work with children and teenagers experiencing anxiety and depression, as well as people navigating social isolation and loneliness. The outcomes I like to help clients reach are happiness, kindness (to themselves and others), connection, inner calmness, and peace.

What has your psychology journey looked like?

I've learned that good therapy isn't about having all the answers — it's about remaining curious, reflective, and willing to continually learn. Every client brings their own values, relationships, beliefs, and life experiences into therapy, just as I bring my own. Rather than making assumptions, I strive to understand each person's worldview and adapt my practice to meet their individual needs. Equanimity — a calm mental state and emotional stability — is the key to many goals, and it's something I hold onto in my own work. Kindness was actually the focus of my thesis, and I truly loved the research I did. For me, life is to be experienced and enjoyed. Not surviving but thriving.

What values underpin your approach?

I believe the most meaningful therapeutic change begins when people feel genuinely heard, understood, and accepted. My approach is grounded in curiosity, compassion, and the belief that every person's experiences make sense within the context of their own life. As an emerging psychologist, I'm committed to creating a safe and collaborative therapeutic space where clients feel respected and empowered to explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences at their own pace. I value evidence-based practice, but I also know effective therapy is about much more than techniques or diagnoses — it's about developing a trusting therapeutic relationship and understanding each person's unique story.

What do you find rewarding about being a psychologist?

I love that moment when a person experiences a shift from the problems they're facing towards a different way of seeing, feeling, and thinking. I hope to be a psychologist who helps people feel seen — I want clients to leave sessions feeling understood, respected, and supported, because we worked together to better understand their experiences and move towards meaningful change. I also find psychological assessment very rewarding. It helps us understand the foundations of presenting problems and formulate interventions towards goals in a structured way — it lets us unlock issues, or aspects of issues, that are hidden away.

Why do you like working at Scope?

Everyone is SO friendly, the clinic is easily accessible for everyone, and the space feels calm, peaceful, and supportive.

What are some of your personal interests?

I play netball, competitively and socially — and of course I watch it too. If the Aussie Diamonds don't win, I back the Jamaicans! I love walking our American Staffy cross and watching her love every minute of it — she gets so excited before a W-A-L-K. I really enjoy being outside, in the sun and fresh air, and I try to spend time in my garden every day. And I love relaxing, getting into my PJ's and going to bed early — I am quite the home-body!
