QLD Senior Psychologist and Supervisor

Full-Time or Part-Time | Hybrid | Norman Park
Salary: $165,900.00 pro rata
About Scope: We deliver psychology services for neurodevelopmental conditions. All of our practitioners and team members value lived experience and take the position of an ally in every interaction. Our assessment and therapy services are strengths-based and built around the self-identified needs of our clients.

Scope Psychology Services Australia is seeking an experienced Psychologist to join our leadership team as a Senior Psychologist and Supervisor. This role is designed for a practitioner who demonstrates advanced clinical reasoning in neurodevelopmental conditions and a commitment to the developmental oversight of the next generation of psychologists.

At Scope, we prioritise neuro-affirming, evidence-based frameworks. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring clinical integrity across the team while managing complex caseloads and providing Board-approved supervision.

What We're Looking For

  • A qualified and experienced professional with AHPRA General Registration and current Board-Approved Supervisor status.
  • High-level clinical reasoning and a neuro-affirming approach to practice.
  • A professional who can evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and determine when manualised approaches require adaptation to ensure they remain affirming and strengths-based.
  • Strong skills in psychometric assessment, including adaptation of standardised tools to meet the needs of individuals with different functional abilities.
  • A commitment to providing supportive direction and instructive critique to supervisees, ensuring they maintain effective care while managing their own emotional regulation and proactive self-care.
  • The ability to modify communication tone and technical detail to suit professional audiences, including General Practitioners, schools, and the NDIS.
  • A detail-oriented professional who ensures their own work and the work of their supervisees aligns with relevant internal and external competencies, codes of conduct and practice guidelines.
"I like working at Scope because it's a welcoming and supportive place to work. It's a privilege to be part of a team that genuinely cares about our clients and each other. There's a strong sense of collaboration and generosity at Scope. I also love the variety in my role, from therapy to assessments in the Bulimba clinic to outreach work supporting clients in rural communities, and, I appreciate the flexibility Scope offers, allowing me to balance meaningful work with life and my family." - Renee
