Who would benefit from seeing you?

I primarily support children and parents who are facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, challenges associated with ADHD and autism, life stresses or transitions, school-related difficulties, parenting challenges, or understanding emotional triggers.

What has your psychology journey looked like?

Before becoming a provisional psychologist, I was a registered teacher, supporting students from Prep to Grade 12—a valuable experience that has greatly contributed to my work at Scope. I’m also an accredited Circle of Security facilitator and Secret Agent Society facilitator. In my role at Scope, my work involves unpacking my clients' difficulties, helping them comprehend how they relate to others, and their coping mechanisms. This awareness informs more helpful strategies for navigating daily life and supporting wellbeing.

                            What values underpin your approach?

I believe that all difficulties originate from somewhere, and it’s essential to explore and understand their roots. Progress is not always linear—sometimes it can be messy and chaotic—so I always work in small steps to help clients to achieve their goals. Helping clients to maintain a balanced life is crucial, and I always try to emphasise the importance of connection, regardless of age.

What do you find rewarding about being a psychologist?

The most rewarding part of my work is helping clients to work towards and achieve their goals. It’s always a collaborative effort, and seeing my clients make progress and sharing their journey is always fulfilling. I take great pride in celebrating the small, brave steps that clients take on their path to personal growth.

Why do you like working at Scope?

I really appreciate the variety of clients and areas I get to work in at Scope, from therapy to assessment. The greater team is exceptionally supportive, and working at Scope allows me to balance my work with my family commitments, which is incredibly valuable to me.

What are some of your personal interests?

I love spending time outdoors and in nature, whether it’s going for a walk, hiking, or simply getting out in the fresh air. Travelling and going on adventures with my family is my absolute favourite thing to do, whether it be on a road trip or to just get a good cup of coffee. I also enjoy volunteering within my community when I can.
