What services do you offer at Scope?

I provide neurocognitive assessment for children and adolescents evaluating:

  • Autism spectrum disorder (autism)
  • Attention-deficit / hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)
  • Specific learning disorder (dyslexia, dyscalculia & dysgraphia)
  • Early childhood developmental evaluation (4 to 6 years old)
Who would benefit from seeing you?

Children and adolescents who feel different, alone, or like life is harder than it should be. I have experience working with transgender and gender diverse individuals. Usually my clients access assessment for autism, ADHD and specific learning disorder with the support of a parent or caregiver.  I also support NDIS participants who are seeking additional neurocognitive assessment to understand more about their strengths and challenges.

What has your psychology journey looked like?

I have worked as a psychologist for over 10 years, but continue to learn new things everyday. Working as a psychologist involves life-long learning, and I’m continuously evolving my skills and knowledge to better support and understand the diverse needs of my clients.

                          What values underpin your approach?

My approach embraces how unique and interesting every child and adolescent is. Every client I assess has so much to offer the world, and it’s always a pleasure to help them thrive with a better understanding of themselves and ways that others can support them.

What do you find rewarding about being a psychologist?

The most rewarding thing about being a psychologist is helping clients to get the correct diagnosis. Watching how an accurate diagnosis can empower and transform someone’s understanding of themselves is incredibly rewarding.

Why do you like working at Scope?

Scope is a great place to work! The space is calm and the team is friendly. Everyone looks out for each other in the clinic, and all of the psychologists are passionate about sharing knowledge and improving each other.

What are some of your personal interests?

My favourite pastime is craft. I especially enjoy making earrings in bright colours.
