I am a Registered Nurse (Learning Disabilities), and have a Bachelor of Human Services with a focus on Positive Behaviour Support. I am currently completing a Master of Health and Clinical Research, and my research project is also on Positive Behaviour Support.
I have a person-centred approach, bringing respect and compassion to appointments, and prioritising the needs, preferences and goals of my participants. I value collaboration with my clients and colleagues, and I’m always learning and continuously improving my approach.
I really enjoy the dynamic nature of my role—I have a variety of responsibilities, and am often doing something different from one minute to the next. It’s always rewarding to see my clients work towards their goals and achieve positive outcomes. I also enjoy collaborating with the skilled practitioners in the Scope team, and engaging in business development, innovative service delivery and strategic planning.
I like working at Scope because it's an inclusive place to work, embracing diversity and belonging for all employees and clients. I also love Scope’s innovative approach to team culture, which encourages creativity and outside of the box thinking to find new solutions.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and two pets (Chester the dog, and Hamilton the cat). I also enjoy studying and learning new things, and like watching UK soaps and crime series to unwind.
